Nirmala Sitharaman is an Indian politician, presently serving as the Defense Minister of India. Sitharaman already served as a Minister of State for Finance and joint Affairs under the Ministry of Finance and the Minister for Commerce and business with independent charge. Before that, she acted as a national speaker for the Bharatiya Janata Party. When BJP came to capacity in 2014, she was first appoint a Rajya Sabha seat, from Andhra Pradesh. Currently, she is voted to the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka.
